Booking a stay with Airbnb is always exciting. From the initial web search for the perfect house to arriving there and seeing it's everything you wanted for your trip. But what is even MORE exciting is planning what you will do ON your trip. Of course there's always local dining and breweries/wineries, hiking (especially in the Shenandoah Valley!) and various unique locations to check out.

But did you know that you can have a photographer come out to your Airbnb to photograph what ever you want? Whether it's a girls trip, couples getaway, solo adventure, or even an intimate elopement. There are so many reasons to book a photoshoot during your stay, but to make things easy, I have created a list of just 5 reasons you should :)

1 . Unique location


Starting strong, this is probably my favorite reason. Airbnb has such a wide variety of houses with beautiful properties. One particular house I loved photographing at was this cozy A frame cabin in Front Royal, Virginia. While I didn't photograph inside the house (although I did go inside and it was cuteee!!) the outside was so cool and perfect for those wanting woodsy Virginia photos. I am a huge sucker for trees and rocks and mountains- and this house had it all. When you book your stay, check out the photos of the property because it might just be the prettiest spot for photos.

2 . You don't have to leave

Now this one might be more for the home bodies, but you don't have to leave the property. I am a total recluse when it comes to vacations - I love staying in and drinking coffee, reading books and lounging in a hot tub. So the idea of not having to leave sounds amazing. You can take your time getting ready for photos, you don't have to navigate foreign roads, and you have more time in the day to relax.

3 . Built in tour guide


When you hire a local photographer to come to your Airbnb, they will likely know the area well. They can give you the inside scoop on all the best places to eat, lesser known gems, and maybe even some history of the area.

4 . It makes for a memorable girls weekend


I used to love getting dressed up and taking photos with my friends. In fact, it's one of the reasons I started photography to begin with. Having a girls weekend and getting dressed up to take photos as grown ups is just pure fun! It's such a great way to celebrate your friendship and have beautiful photos to show for it. (This would work well for a bachelorette weekend also!)


5 . It's just fun


Plain and simple. It's fun. What ever reason you are traveling for, it's a great way to unwind and slow down. Enjoy the moment and let a photographer capture it so you can look back and relive that trip.
